Keep key exchange separate from messaging

For the strongest protection don't send your public key over the same platform you use to send encrypted messages. Share it through a different channel instead another messaging app, secure cloud storage, email, or handing it over in person.

Keeping these two steps apart means that even if one channel is ever compromised the other stays untouched. It's a small habit that meaningfully raises the bar against interception.
